LT-602 is a multi-component modified amino polysiloxane. It’s suitable for soft and fluffy finishing of natural fibers, synthetic fibers and their blends and imparts a super-soft, fluffy & plump handfeel.

Silicone softener is a mixture of organopolysiloxane and polymer, which is suitable for enhancing the softness of organic fibers such as cotton, wool, silk and hemp. Auxiliary materials are widely used to finish textiles with a silicone base in the cloth. These softener varieties can be used not only on cellulosic fabrics, but also on a range of polyester, nylon and alternative man-made fibers.
Different silicone derivatives with versatile properties play a crucial role in the softening process. Amino silicones are the most widely used as they provide a class of sophistication to textiles. However, the finished cloth turns yellow once it is exposed to high temperatures. The yellowing of aminosilicone due to heat depends largely on the structure of the amino side chain, temperature and preparation time. This issue became important in the mid-1980s, when experts increased the baking temperature of the entire wrinkle-resistant coating to reduce residual formaldehyde. Various other structures were evaluated and demonstrated to minimize or prevent yellowing.
