Amino Silicone Oil WACKER WR1100 CN For Knitted/Cotton Fabrics
Characteristics:
WACKER ® FINISH WR 1100 CN is a reactive aminoethyl/aminopropyl-functional polydimethylsiloxane.
Applications:
WACKER ® FINISH WR 1100 CN is particularly suitable as an active substance in softener formulations for the impregnation of fibers and textiles. WACKER ® FINISH WR 1100 CN imparts a very soft, drapable, and elastic handle to woven and knitted fabrics. WACKER ® FINISH WR 1100 CN is considered to be the best softening agent for PES/cotton fabrics. WACKER ® FINISH WR 1100 CN improves the wash- and-wear properties and the crease recovery angle, sewability and tear strength and reduces abrasion loss. The effects are fast to washing and dry cleaning.
WACKER ® FINISH WR 1100 CN has very little effect on the degree of whiteness in a softener formulation under usual application conditions. As a rule, no adverse effect on the shade or colour fastness of coloured goods is observed. As a component of formulations for finishing fibrefill.
WACKER ® FINISH WR 1100 CN imparts excellent slickness and resilience to the fibre.
Processing:
WACKER ® FINISH WR 1100 CN can be applied neat, from solution, or emulsion. Suitable solvents are aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, ethers, esters, higher alcohols, and ketones.
Most textile processes are waterbased. Hence WACKER ® FINISH WR 1100 CN is mainly applied from emulsion. WACKER ® FINISH WR 1100 CN is especially suitable for the formulation of macroemulsions.
WACKER ® FINISH WR 1100 CN can be used as sole active substance in softener emulsions or in combination with other components, e.g. paraffines, esters of fatty acids, etc. Compatibility of the components should be checked in each individual case.
Emulsions of WACKER ® FINISH WR 1100 CN are diluted to the optimum concentration for the specific fabric. They are applied by padding or exhaustion.

Storage stablity
WACKER ® FINISH WR 1100 CN has a shelf life of at least 6 months. if stored in tightly closed original containers at 25 °C. The "Best use before end" date of each lot is shown on the product label.
If the material is kept beyond the shelf life recommended on the product label, it is not necessarily unusable, but a quality control should be performed on the properties relevant to the application.
