Characteristics:
WACKER ® FINISH WR 1200 CN is a reactive aminoethyl-aminopropylfunctional polydimethylsiloxane.
Applications:
WACKER ® FINISH WR 1200 CN is particularly suitable as active substance in softener formulations for the impregnation of PES-fibers and PES-textiles. WACKER ® FINISH WR 1200 CN imparts a very soft, drapable, and elastic touch to woven and knitted fabrics. WACKER ® FINISH WR1200 CN is considered to be the best softening agent for PES and other synthetic fibres. WACKER ® FINISH WR 1200 CN improves theurface slickness,wash- and-wear properties and the crease recovery angle, sewability and tear strength and reduces abrasion loss. The ffects are fast to washing and dry cleaning.
WACKER ® FINISH WR 1200 CN has only little effect on the degree of white in a softener formulation when usual application conditions are dhered to.As a rule no adverse effect on the shade or colour fastness properties of coloured goods is observed.
As part of formulations used as fill fibre finish WACKER ® FINISH WR 1200 CN imparts excellent slickness and resilience to the fibre.
Processing:
WACKER ® FINISH WR 1200 CN can be applied neat, from solution, or emulsion. Suitable solvents are aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, esters, higher alcohols, and ketones.
Most textile processes are waterbased. Hence WACKER ® FINISH WR 1200 CN is mainly applied from emulsion. WACKER ® FINISH WR 1200 CN is especially suitable for the formulation of micro and macro-emulsions.
WACKER ® FINISH WR 1200 CN can be used as sole active substance in softener emulsions or in combination with other components, e.g. paraffines, esters of fatty acids, etc. Compatability of the components has to be checked in each individual case.
Emulsions of WACKER ® FINISH WR 1200 CN are diluted to the optimum concentration for the specific fabric. Application can be done by padding or exhaustion.

Storage stablity
WACKER ® FINISH WR 1200 CN has a shelf life of at least 6 months when stored at 25 °C in the originally sealed container. The "Best use before end" date of each batch appears on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the roperties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
Storage over 25°C can increase the viscosity.
