EMUL E8455 is a high viscosity hydroxyl-terminated polymethicone non-ionic water emulsion with slightly anionic properties. With chemical activity, and outstanding stability, lubricity, is a general-purpose product

Natural leather brightener;
 Smoothing agents for fabrics and wool;
 Release agents for industrial rubber, tires, plastics and foundry materials;
 Additives for maintenance products: polishes for floors and furniture, leather maintenance products, etc.

EMUL E8455 Emulsion provides the following properties when dried to film:
 Excellent stability;
 Chemical reactivity;
 Waterproof;
 Good release properties;
 Incompatible with many organic substances.

EMUL E8455 emulsion has low viscosity and is easily soluble in water. When diluting, it is recommended to add water to the emulsion, the reverse order of addition (adding the emulsion to the water) is not recommended.
Hard water is not recommended and the CaCO3 content in the water must be below 250ppm.
EMUL E8455 Emulsion is used in:
Leather Brightener: Treat leather with a spray gun or roller and dry under normal conditions. EMUL E8455 Emulsion improves product gloss and smooth hand. For leather treatment, EMUL E8455 is recommended to be diluted. Typical applications are 1-2 parts of EMUL E8455 emulsion diluted with 8-9 parts of water. EMUL E8455 can also be used in combination with other leather treatment auxiliaries to treat leather products such as genuine leather or artificial leather by spraying or dipping.
——Spraying process:
Dosage: It is recommended to add 10% of the total formula to the slurry sprayed on the top layer;
Drying temperature: drying at about 100℃;
Placement: Test the hand feeling after placing it at room temperature for 24 hours to absorb moisture;
The following are the recommended formulations for synthetic and artificial leather:
 EMUL E8455………………………………………… 10%~20%
 Deionized water…………………………………………90%~80%
Using spraying process, 100 ℃ drying.

Rubber and plastics industry: For the exact concentration required for each specific case, the recommended emulsion concentration for the first experiment is 20 parts water (hardness <250ppm as CaCO3) to one part EMUL E8455. When preparing, directly add the required amount of water under stirring conditions.
If the release effect of the demolded article or the surface finish of the molded article is unsatisfactory at this concentration, the concentration of EMUL E8455 should be gradually increased, stirring after each addition, until satisfactory results are obtained.
If a concentration of 1:20 gives satisfactory results, add water gradually, stirring after each addition, until you find the lowest concentration for good mold release.
The application process usually uses a spray gun, which gives a very fine spray that will produce a thin, uniform film.
Precautions:
This lotion should be used in:
- completely clean, grease-free moulds,
-Hot molds (110 - 120°C) to ensure instant evaporation of water, beading must be thoroughly removed before molds are filled and closed.
The amount of EMULE 8455 emulsion to be used depends on the nature of the different substrates to be treated and the desired effect.

Storage & Packing:

Stored in the original airtight container at 5°C~30°C, the standard shelf life of EMUL E8455 Emulsion is 6 months from the date of manufacture. Please refer to the storage advice and expiration date on the packaging.
After this date, Bluestar Silicones will no longer guarantee that the product meets the sales target.
